Interpretive programs are presented by DNR staff throughout the Recreation Area.  Programs covering ecological topics, the local flora, fauna and the history of the area are available for school groups, organizations and the general public.

  • This program provides teachers with field trip opportunities that helps extend the students into the outdoors and puts them in touch with Michigan’s Natural, historical, and cultural resources. These programs usually include an indoor presentation followed by an outdoor interactive, field exploration
  • Each program is designed to help reinforce common core objectives as well as inspire awareness of Michigan’s many resources.
  • Include FREE OF CHARGE and common core objectives.
