Waterfowl Festival 2020

This year, the Festival is largely virtual. Each Saturday of this period, we will hold activities. The first Saturday, Aug. 1, the event will run from 10am to 4pm. For further information, go to the event section of our Facebook page (Friends of Bay City State Park). Once we have an event flyer, we will post details on ths page too, along with any forms or other information that may be of help.
This year's Waterfowl Festival will be virtual with several different activities on Facebook and other online channels.
On Saturday, August 1st, 2020 we will be kicking off the month long 25th annual Saginaw Bay Waterfowl Festival. Each Saturday, from August 1st - August 29th, we will have different activities, clinics, and competitions held virtually; featuring calling techniques, decoy layouts, calling competitions, Waterfowl ID, Draw a duck competition, Waterfowl Photography, and more!
Note* Michigan State Duck Competition is still pending for this year's approval. This can only be held in person and would be held at Bay City State Park with preregistration only.
The event's mission is to help participants become more aware of Michigan's waterfowl resources, the sport of waterfowl hunting, and the need to conserve these valuable natural resources and the wetland habitat upon which they depend!
We cordially invite all of you to attend!
